I to this day feel bad for Punk, he looks up to Steve but didn't realize dude can flip that switch damn near instantly. He came to throw friendly jabs at the retired goof ball Steve tends to be at times on his podcast.

Not realizing late 1996 pissed off just to be pissed off Steve Austin was gonna show up for that promo.

It was like watching a metamorphosis. Steve was on the second he sat down and only Jim Ross peeped it until it was too late. It’s like Austin was in black and white and everything else was in color. nikka we rolling his eyes trying to be diplomatic until Ross asked one damn question lol

Punk could fire back at a heel but as a face he can’t just run over Austin like people in his generation. 96 Austin is unfukkitable

That sit-down interview was hilarious. I felt bad for Punk after seeing it. He wasn't ready.

This line always cracked me up:

"But to take his ass back to the Attitude era..?

Pure speculation."

I was so used to happy go lucky/Broken Skull Ranch Austin that I didn't think he could turn on the intensity like that, on a whim.

shyt was a funeral for Punk.

Magical time ship :laff: keep in mind this man was a grown man when back to the future came out and he still refers to time machines as time ships

Austin and his relationship with the company is so weird

Sometimes it feels like he never existed..unless of course you watch video on your own

But wwe never really mentions him and he never appears
He’s like Kareem Abdul jabaar. Arguably the goat but he isn’t out here begging or pandering every few months for his legacy to be reaffirmed like magic Johnson or Shaquille O’Neal and there’s nothing wrong with either way. But when they come around they get supreme regal treatment

Someone like him.lets his body of work speak for itself

Then you got someone like HHH who needs to remind people and have his wife force him down the crowds throats:russ:

His legacy gets dwarfed by The Rock's each passing year. :yeshrug:Rock is pretty much the new Hulk Hogan.
