Anyone watch the show "Rectify"? The premise is kind of similar.
Even if he didn't kill her himself, he still ran away from the crime scene without calling an ambulance. What if she was still alive? That's like being in a hit-and-run car accident.
I suspect they might be able to charge him with manslaughter even if he didn't kill her himself. So, yeah, either way he's guilty.
As for the real killer

To be fair she was working 5 hrs past her shift, its too soon to judge her character IMO.Probably a black killer, all the black folks are shytty people thus far.

she used to bang the other black guy, who was with the dude who snitched on him in the police station. He got mad and OJ'ed her. The biggest clue was the black snitch said he was alone that night.
