OZ had to many of those fakkit ass scenes, i got through the whole series but god damn had to skip a shyt load of scenes:scust:
Lol, I go through it being :krs: over the cast. 90%; okay maybe like 65% went on to doing cop shows. and then like 75% of the cast was on the Wire. The most :hamster: for me was when Tobias got branded... :mjcry: that was just the start for his series of unfortunate events...

I found the family to be rather interesting, it was one of the few families on the series where we got to learned about everyone a bit more.

how you get you food taken by a 10 yr old, then let the lil nikka talk shyt to you :mjlol:

this 4th season got me weak, cuz i legit forgot how much of a bytch naymond and randy snitch ass was
Randy got strong armed into telling he just didn't wanna get in trouble at home :mjcry:

Idk why I took his & dukie storyline so hard. Well actually it's cause of all the boys they had the best path laid out for them... idk man I'm still rewatching season 1

They were bright kids. If bunny would have saved them like he did namond they would have thrived. Instead they got beat down by fukking reality.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but Namomd is my favorite of the four corner kids. That wasn't how I felt the first, or even second, and third times I watched season 4, but I did a rewatch recently and realized that he is just the most nuanced, and interesting to dissect of the four. Yes he's a fukkboy, and no I don't think he's anywhere near as sympathetic as the others, but he's a fascinating (and entertaining) character. I mean just the bytchassness of him being shook when he went to Ruth Chris:mjcry:, to the next episode clowning Dukie when they are at the Chinese spot on some "Why you acting like this some fancy restaurant? This ain't nothing but a chink joint:russ::stopitslime:"

The amount of internalization, projection, posturing, insecurity, and want for acceptance in him just never gets old watching. Especially as he is contrasted with Michael, Wee-Bay, Kenard, and Delonda.

That LOOK Namond has on his face, for the briefest of seconds when Brianna told Delonda that they had been paid handsomely for years:ohhh: - that Namond should have had a small fortune to his name:bryan:

He steals the scenes at the school in that faux classroom, showing off his intelligence (or more specifically, his manipulation) and even having some subtle character moments that I respect - choosing to be the guinea pig for the "stand on the box blindfolded and fall backwards" project. When he could see that Colvin had his back, that Colvin even respected him, he wanted to do right by him.

But the Wire is so well written because they allow "bad" characters to have sympathetic moments without attempting to totally wash them clean with redemption. Namond ultimately is still a fukkboy.

His entire life is a lie. Lying about which girl he fukking, always instigating fake fights, always trying to get over, always putting forth a grand image for consumption to hide how fragile he is. In a post-Trump world that resonates with me - he is in the show what Bow Wow is in real life

Yes, the "bully is bullied at home" trope is well explored in fiction, but I'm not sure it's ever been done as well in long form fiction. His character is one of the crowning achievements of the series.
