Real talk...what does HBO have cooking up in the lab for Q4 2023 and 2024? Anything NEW?! From everything I see online, nothing looks that intriguing...

True Detective...cool but not new.

Not one but TWO half-assed GoT spin-offs that no one asked for

The Sympathizer ...satirical Spy thriller (...ehhhh) with RDJ (:blessed:)

The Regime ...a political drama about a European regime (aka trying to make a Succession in Europe)

They better hope The Sympathizer or The Regime hit otherwise it's going to be a long wait for Euphoria & Last of Us

Thankfully I have someone's login. HBO has always has the top tier series and I'm hopeful that something will be can't miss out of that 2024 lineup, they've earned the benefit of the doubt.

White Lotus came out of no where and was dope. Same w/ Succession. They missed w/ the idol, but it was still somewhat entertaining.

I'll have faith that Robert Downey Jr. will deliver, he hasn't taken a bad role that I can remember in the last 20 years. The Regime could be intriguing, or it could be lame like the New Pope...It has an opportunity.

Where HBO doesn't ever seem to miss is crime dramas...Sopranos, The Wire, Boardwalk Empire (to a far lesser extent), We Own This City were all dope. Wish we could get something based on the CIA-style black sites that Chicago PD was using to force confessions, or something intriguing about the underworld...a based on real events mob series based in the 80s would be fire af.

This assumes that you don't pay cable at all, an additional 10 dollars for a sports package I already got.
