Watching "The Gilded Age" made me want to go back and revisit "The Knick", so I just went and re-watched the first episode on HBO Max for the first time in years.

I actually forgot how good that show was. In fact, I think I'm ready to say that based on the pilot The Knick is better than any show currently airing on TV today.

it's a shame it & Quarry were stuck on Cinemax...they were HBO level shows when they dropped

The Knick is ALL TIME GREAT. And deserves a bigger audience. Think of it as a 2 season limited series.
Those that haven’t are seriously missing out on a goldmine of quality drama.

The Knick is actually the show that prompted me to go from lurking in and actually create a "Coli" account.
This board was the ONLY place I saw discussing that show, and I wanted a place to post my (wrong :troll:) theories about what would happen next.

What's it about?

A war between atheists and mithraics (a religion) leaves earth uninhabitable, so two androids are sent to kepler-22b to build a world for humanity with 6 fertilized eggs to raise.

It's great sci‐fi if you're a fan of the genre.
