Rome has one of the best first seasons of a TV series ever, IMO. Shame that the budget costs doomed the show. It most likely would’ve had five seasons as originally planned had it came out today.

This and Carnivale’s demise still sadden me. Rome manages to wrap things up (in a rushed way) during the final season, but Carnivale never got that satisfaction. Made a lot of us think a third season was coming.

I remember when Rome first drop, it was a serious buzz after the first season. Alot of people was trying to spread word of mouth about how good it was. I remember getting wrapped up in it after that season. I dont know how, but that does need a reboot.

The Fallout wasn’t bad at all for a directorial debut. The Jenna Ortega push in Hollywood is very real and honestly, she deserves it. She’s a star.

School shootings are so common in this age and often politicized through media, yet we don’t seem to hear about the aftermath and dire effects that it has on families. This film deconstructs the trauma Ortega’s character faces in a tender, yet visceral way. 3.5 out of 5.

Rome did a great job with its world-building and political intrigue. That stuff was so fun to watch. GoT came through later and restored order on that end too for a solid minute (Sigh). I’d easily take Rome back just to fulfill that high again, if it were to ever return.
