no revenue sharing with theaters (keep all the bread) which helps since releasing a big budget movie in the pandemic into theaters REALLY isn't profitable.
by being not only the owner of WB, AT&T entices people to switch from their current ISP over to AT&T not only for internet, but Cell Phone as well. Increase the money on ALL FRONTS.
Disney and Netflix aren't ISPs or Cell Phone Service Providers either.
I don't see this as a permanent thing, but short term while theaters are just not feasible right now, is smart.
Comcast/Universal needs to do something now.
Plus cats already with AT&T fiber get HBO Max for free.
