The Pattison joint doesn't have enough people excited for this not to be a rumored possibility.
I mean, Hollywood has been shut down for months now, what movies are people excited for? The only updates people have gotten on any movie is release dates sometimes a year plus after the original release date.

As the tweet someone posted above, his casting made noise.

I'm all for this, I doubt WB would give their star property a green light to debut on HBO though.
Nope it'll never happen.

I like it. i always hate recasting in serialized projects. pulls me out of the immersion.
thats why you should always try relative unknowns for these kind of projects. but i'm a big fan of Man of Steel and Dawn of Justice, i'm hoping the synder cut and maybe this project potentially will give me more of that.

Bat fleck was one of the few times DCEU got it right.

Pattinson is a little old perhaps but they continually fukk up the longer they go without making a live action Batman beyond.

Affleck himself was good in the role but both Dawn Of Justice and Justice League was TRASH. I honestly don’t know why everyone thinks this Snyder cut is going to be the holy grail
Desperation and boredom.

Two of them were indie films and third one had a marginal sized budget on Netflix. He has a notable drinking and gambling history. The insurance costs are going to be through the roof for a big budget film as he could fall of the wagon again at any point and fukk up production.

That’s why they removed him from the Batman role the first time.
He was filming The Last Duel for Fox/Disney/Whatever before The Rona shut everything down and that is a big budget period piece being directed by Ridley Scott.

He's directing and starring in Ghost Army for Universal which is another period piece (set in WWII) that sounds like it will have a significant budget for all the war scenes.

And he's doing an action movie directed by Robert Rodriguez.

There is no reason to think insurance costs would be a stumbling block in this case.

It depends on the company and deductible cost for that particular film. They were looking at a $150 million dollar deductible if they did a Justice League sequel at the time.

Not saying that it won’t be a stumbling block, but his insurance cost are higher compared to other actors because of his back history.
