Crazy how this explosion of cable shows yet the only black shows (non reality TV and comedy) on cable are on TVone, OWN and BET.
So with all these cable channels with serious shows they still can't make a black serious TV show.

Her show Girls is a critical darling and highlight for female led shows. They're just capitalizing on her good will she has with the media. Now do I like that shyt nah I ain't trying to see a female CAC show.
I know man you can see a constant them in these shows.... Which is black heterosexual folks are almost never paired together.

I think that she's too publicity-conscious to make that mistake, after how much she was called out for the same shyt on GIRLS.
However, as others have stated, I have no confidence that it will be a portrayal of us that isn't compromised in some fashion. Cac husband/boyfriend or, black panther type of dude who beats her, or just overall dysfunction in some manner, will be on display.

I dunno why people want her to include Black people in her shows so bad . It seems like she never really had any Black friends in her circles growing up. I wouldn't want someone who has little experience with and has shown not to care all that much about Black people to write Black characters. Her portrayal of Black women would most likely be problematic.
How the hell this bytch stay getting shows?! Yet HBO cancelled Lucky Louie after one season...
