Oh, and he's a Muslim, oh, and he's the underdog. Oh, with a history of a glass chin, who's fighting someone two weight classes above him.

The champ is a redheaded Mexican who speaks no English whatsoever, being promoted by a cross dressing, coke sniffing, has been Mexican American fighter whom I get the feeling his own people dont care for. The champ has no story to tell, nothing intriguing about him, no controversy, no nothing. The only thing interesting about him is that he's a Mexican redhead. Unless Oscar is selling the fight with a story that a retired redheaded Irish milkman who spent time in Mexico 25 years ago and is having a reunion with his son that he didnt know about, then there was no story. Lets be reality brehs, even exotic animals lose folks interest after seeing it on YT. I saw the Liger, thought to myself wow, and havent given it two thoughts since. Why would the average sports consumer shell out $69.99 for the exhibition sport's equivalent of a red headed Liger?

Adrien Broner has the potential to be bigger than Canelo via controversy and success in the ring.

Canelo the biggest star in boxing right now and is on every other commercial in Mexico. What demographic , that gives a fukk about boxing, doesn't know about canelo all ready?

I didn't bring up Haymon so I don't know. Leo Santa Cruz is good but he looks like any other mexican. Canelo is an irish cac that was born in mexico and speaks mexican spanish. ODLH was born in America and spoke/speaks good english with an american look to him.

Oscar doesn't know how to promote without Shaefer

Canelo's last ppvs all should've been on HBO not PPV for one to build his name up more to the audience.

Secondly, they are marketing him as the new face of boxing which he isn't, because he lost to Floyd lol

Floyd became the face because he beat Oscar. If canelo would've beaten Floyd, then all his ppvs would've sold no matter who he fought, but he lost.

So Canelo can only do big ppv numbers if you build a fight properly, which is what they are doing with GGG by coming up with all these dumb ass reason why the fight isn't happening because of weight or whatever.

It's too build anticipation.

If Floyd would've fought Manny after he beat ricky hatton, He only would've made 60-80 million, he ended up making 300 million
