I have Estrada beating this dude, because he’s touching him with a lot of straight rights and left hooks. HBO commentating is so bias it’s crazy.

Chocolatito Praises Estrada: Sor Rungvisai Lost, Unfair Decision!

By Elisinio Castillo

Former four division world champion Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez was an interested observer on Saturday night, as he watched two of his past opponents collide in the ring.

At The Forum in Los Angeles, California, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai retained his WBC super flyweight world title with a twelve round majority decision win over Juan Francisco "El Gallo" Estrada.

Chocolatito won a hard-fought decision over Estrada several years ago, and suffered two defeats at the hands of Sor Rungvisai in 2017.

However, Chocolatito did not agree with the scorecards.

He saw Estrada as the clear winner and felt the Mexican fighter boxed a beautiful fight and had the right strategy to win.

He said Estrada was robbed in the manner that he was, in the March 2017 clash with Sor Rungvisai.

"Estrada won. It was a tough fight, but there is no doubt that Estrada won," Chocolatito said to TN8 in Nicaragua.

"Estrada scored very well, he moved very well, he avoided punches very well, he made his fight very well. He knew that if he stayed with Rungvisai it would be a knockout. Rungvisai is a very strong guy who is very durable, but the fight that Estrada made was excellent, his leg movements, how he threw punches. He did not move all the time, but it was an excellent fight. Congratulations to Mexico, to Estrada and to his entire team for an excellent fight.

"Rungvisai, in this fight, did not throw his punches very well. I did not see the power, he missed a lot of shots and when he misses a lot of shots he gets tired. It was an excellent fight that Estrada did.

"[The decision] does not seem fair to me. This is the same thing that happened to me when I fought. It is a real sadness that this is happening in the world of boxing. Estrada did a good job. We are not blind, (Estrada) won clearly by two points or three points. I do not understand, but that's the way of boxing. For me, sincerely, he won the fight."

choc needs to sit there and be quiet :francis:..how dare he speak ill of King Sor :dahell:..did he not learn his lesson?

watched it again, now in HD
originally had Sor by 115-113
now I had him 116-112

only clear Estrada rounds were 2,8 and 12
clear Sor rounds were 3,4,5,6,7,

1st round could go either way but I gave it to Sor, felt like both were landing but Sor landing the harder shots
9th round I gave it to Estrada, it wasn't as clear for him as the 8th but overall he did the better job imo
10th round I gave to Sor, he came back to the fight after the previous two rounds, landed the heavier shots and wasn't outlanded or wasn't outlanded by a margin which would make up for Estrada for not landing the harder shots
Some gave the 11th round to Estrada but 11th round I also found it a rather clear Sor round, Estrada started doing things in the last 30 seconds but not even close enough to me to win the round. The "push the last 30 seconds so the judges will remember to your work more" strategy really isn't working once you are aware that it's a thing... Rungvisai outworked and outlanded him in that round before

I only hardly see a case for Estrada really winning this. I can't see him winning all those 4 "swing rounds" because only one of them was really a razor close round (the 1st) and other than that the 11th and 10th rounds even though they weren't as clear Sor rounds as 3-7 they still rather belonged to Rungvisai and the 9th rather belonged to Estrada

I might see why someone scored it a draw with giving the 9th the 1st and either the 10th or 11th to JFE, but I don't see an Estrada win, not really...
Rungvisai earned this and rightfully got the nod

it's also one of those rare occurrences when I completely agree with a Lederman scorecard. I had the fight just like him this time around.

The Thai champion revealed that he was subjected to a very strict diet and had even to lose at least 2 pounds the night before weigh-in. So he was very happy to be received at the airport with his favorite delicacies.

Regarding the possibility of a second fight with Estrada, the champion said - "I can challenge a rematch whenever I want. I'll make him look worse and probably even knock him out," Rungvisai told The Nation in Thailand.
