2001 was extremely weird. At the top of the year you had some GOAT level PPVs, then they purchased WCW/ECW, ended up with a period of one of the most stacked rosters ever, but had booking that basically told you that “WWF >>>> everyone else” outside of RVD, then closed the year with basically WWF vs WWF guys fighting in a “winner takes all” match that ended up doing nothing in the long run.

I would say that they didn’t have the most stacked roster ever until 02’-03’. In 2001 mainly the WCW bums came over. The roster was lopsided at that point, not stacked.

I don't think the TMP would've happened, if he had returned for Mania he would've been face going against HHH. Had he returned after Mania, he would've been heel teaming w HHH at backlash lol.
