Okay? I have never went to an HBCU so I don't understand the hype over their bands.

You reaching for something that isn't there.

Where are you from?

Its a culture and there's ALOT of tradition and hard work that goes into it. Unlike bands at most PWI's, HCBU bands show up at the game ready to go to war with the other band on the field and in the stands. Its the college band version of a rap battle that lasts for 4 quarters +1.

"You know that new hot song on that's been on the radio for a week?" More than likely, a HCBU band is going to be blowing that in the stands like they wrote the song that same week. Seeing bands playing on youtube is one thing, going to a game and seeing them perform live is another thing.

You sound stupid as shyt, marching band is only an HBCU thing?

You never heard of dotting the I at Ohio State University:

Marching bands are not just an HBCU thing, I know your trolling, but you mom did a good job at raising a sellout.

Nothing racial about it.

I live in Jersey too. Go to a near by black college like del state. It's nothing like hearing these bands play live. I remember years back famu brought their band up north I think temple game and breh, that sound.. Breh them tubas, that trombone section. Then we used to have the Whitney Young Classic in Giants Stadium where black colleges would play ball and bring them bands... Breh the experience ain't nothing like it. I want to go back down to the swac region. I ran thru the swac back in the day also meac. Brehs in this thread trying to tell you but you need to experience it. Its homecoming time and I'm at Howard's, at Morgan state and maybe one other but try and see one for yourself.
