So the ones who could benefit from hazardous pay didn't want it?
Or was it the union reps?
Actually very diverse. Our manager and two supervisors are all black women. Good number of black, asian, indian nurses and in comparison to the usual white dominated demographicwhat are the demographics of the nurses there?
Its crazy as fukk. We have all the equipment we need so far but the workload is so heavy. Having to constantly take all the PPE off and on becomes draining. Pretty much adds 5 minutes onto everything you do. Patients lungs are shyt. Their all in ARDS on crazy high ventilator settings. Sedated, Paralyzed, proning everybody Every patient on the floor is legit critical. We’ve only had one death but good portion of these patients will never have any quality of life again. Majority of our unit has been on vents for almost 2 weeks and aren’t going anywhere anytime soonWow man what's the vibe like in the ICU about now?
Yeah.,, I’m only hearing for health care workers only tho...my job sure tf ain’t giving itYes, it has came up here in Illinois
I work in a machine shop and I know we not gettin' it. I'm sittin' on the table right now, wishin' somebody tell me i cant sitYeah.,, I’m only hearing for health care workers only tho...my job sure tf ain’t giving it
Costco doubled orders last week so production at my job been 6 days 4 hours ot for like a month already they hired about 20+ new people tooI'm getting 60 hours a week still, we are a bread and dairy company so we've been getting slammed with orders because everyone's panic buying.
My cup runneth over, that extra money can go to the unemployed people instead
I'm a respiratory therapist and they were giving certain employees hazard pay but since now they're pretty much converting most of the hospital to deal covid patients they took it away. They're not bringing in travel nurses and therapists yet though.I’m An RN in Covid dedicated ICU
We had hazard pay (+$10 hr on regular hourly rate) for a week and a half. But they said it cost too much and other units are taking covid patients now so they took it away
But are conveniently hiring all these damn travel nurses that make significantly more than the staff nurses
They were just arguing about this within my union. We fall under transit.
Surprisingly the mass majority of the ones at my workplace (cacs) all were against us getting hazard pay.
