So the ones who could benefit from hazardous pay didn't want it?

Or was it the union reps?

Wow man what's the vibe like in the ICU about now?
Its crazy as fukk. We have all the equipment we need so far but the workload is so heavy. Having to constantly take all the PPE off and on becomes draining. Pretty much adds 5 minutes onto everything you do. Patients lungs are shyt. Their all in ARDS on crazy high ventilator settings. Sedated, Paralyzed, proning everybody Every patient on the floor is legit critical. We’ve only had one death but good portion of these patients will never have any quality of life again. Majority of our unit has been on vents for almost 2 weeks and aren’t going anywhere anytime soon

signed up for OT this weekend and already regretting it :sadcam:

HELL
I'm getting 60 hours a week still, we are a bread and dairy company so we've been getting slammed with orders because everyone's panic buying.

My cup runneth over, that extra money can go to the unemployed people instead

Been doing xrays on patients in the ICU and ED. A LOT of the patients are black and Hispanic it’s crazy. Worked 50 plus hours last week. But it’s fukked up they ain’t giving hazard pay to technologist. Respiratory Techs in particular should be getting it too.

I’m An RN in Covid dedicated ICU

We had hazard pay (+$10 hr on regular hourly rate) for a week and a half. But they said it cost too much and other units are taking covid patients now so they took it away

But are conveniently hiring all these damn travel nurses that make significantly more than the staff nurses :martin:
I'm a respiratory therapist and they were giving certain employees hazard pay but since now they're pretty much converting most of the hospital to deal covid patients they took it away. They're not bringing in travel nurses and therapists yet though.
