catching haymon violating the muhammad ali act is like catching avon barksdale from the wire in the room with drugs. i truly believe haymon does act as the promoter and manager but he's able to use people like schaefer to hide the promoter side of him. now that schaefer is gone, he's back to working with dibella and warriors boxing.
i highly doubt that. i thought it was nbc was coming out the pocket and paying haymon to broadcast his fighters. but it's the other way around which is something that's rarely or never done in boxing. this is a high risk/high reward for haymon. this is more like a 20 mil dollar investment, i'd be shocked if he even thought about putting on another garica-salka card. whether the 24 dates he has go by 2-3 years and rating look good, you better believe it nbc will come out the pocket for negotiations. if ratings tank, then thats 20 mil down the fukking drain.
as far as showtime, espinoza once again needs to be fired (not to mention this dumbass just canceled the showbox series earlier this week
): this deal just showed us haymon used him and showtime for dates to show them bullshyt fights for the remaining for the year.
haymon damn near got his own network/platform for his fighters, what does he need showtime for. he has more leverage than ever with them entering 2015.
haymon just might be the savior of boxing
