Having NBA and NHL playoff games on cable is terrible.

Over time that’s going to change as content more expensive to produce and companies need higher subscriber numbers to justify costs. Those costs are going to get passed to consumers and it’s only a matter of time before one them tries to find a way to lock in customers long term a la cable.

I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

I seriously thought about getting youtube tv. Our xfinity bill is absurd. If I were single and didnt have kids, I wouldnt have cable, only internet.

I was flipping through the channels last night and couldnt find shyt to watch besides the heat/celtics. All these damn channels with no interesting content

Hulu LiveTV gets you all the national channels that broadcast sports, plus cable channels like ESPN, NFL Network, TNT, Golf, NBC Sports ect. They also include ESPN+ (gives you all sorts of ESPN channeles, dope if you're a sports fan) and Disney+

NBA / NHL season league passes are great. I ain't cut DirecTV yet. By the time u cut cable and have mad numerous streams you could pay a direct TV or basic cable package. I'm a regular season watcher of both sports.

Ex dorm roommate asked me did I have a link to stream last year. I laughed until I cried seriously.

Hat Tricks , the old arena the gutta old bathrooms . It's cool to see one of the Stanley Cup winners from the late 90s doing radio and literally kicking it at various bars with the locals. He bought me and my peoples a round last yr.

So you got into hockey because your dad was from Canada? Where are you from? Is there really  that many black Canadians supporting hockey, because it seems aint a ton of Black Canadians in the NHL...

Wherever you from or live at stateside, how would you compare the black following of hockey in those places to Canada?

I've recently, as in this year, taken an interest in hockey. I live in Raleigh and Canes fever enveloped me. I catch all their games and try to learn the sport little by little, but ultimately I've learned I actually enjoy watching it, it's exciting...

Sidenote. I did go to a minor league hockey game in Elmira NY back in '11 or '12 and it was fun, but it didn't captivate my interest enough to start watching the sport!

Fully agree OP. Although some disagreed, I want the NBA to adopt something similar to the NFL with the conference games on Fox/CBS-TNT and national headliners on NBC/ABC-ESPN.
