Robin Williams can't hold a candle to the gawd. Ghostbusters, Stripes, Caddyshack, Quick Change, What About Bob?, The Man Who Knew Too Little, Space Jam, Wild Things. Dude is The comedic actor of the 80s and 90s. Too many hilarious performances.

I learned that my tastes don't necessarily match with the mainstreams. Guys like Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Robin Williams, Billy Crystal just never hit me as being terribly funny. They've made some good movies but not many performances that I didn't think someone else could pull off comedically the say way.

he's the guy that all the hipsters want to be. his style of comedy isnt always funny to everyone either..kinda like Chevy Chase but Chevy has a bigger rep for being a dikkhead so he's not as heralded...I'm more of a Chevy guy myself

I think couple of comedians/actors have said that behind the scenes Chevy Chase was an arrogant a$$hole & not really a funny person. You can almost tell it if you watch his Comedy Central Roast too... dude just looked mad/awkward all the time. Like, I've never seen people say tha Robin Williams wasn't funny or that he was an a$$hole (even before his death).

also, I personllay never thought Billy Crystal was THAT funny.

But I fukkin love almost most of Bill & Robin's movies/roles. and to me they always were a lot more charismatic/talented than the other 2 you mentioned

People love bill Murray cuz he stays not giving a fukk in real life. He's always making wacky public appearances whenever he wants to. Plus he has a great track record of doing memorable interviews on talk shows like Letterman's
