Was bored at night so I took a part-time job working at www.clublavela.com as a bouncer. During the day I was a measurer for Home Depot. Used to go to people's houses and measure their kitchens and bathrooms for cabinets. The hours were cool except when I had a job early in the morning. Most of them started around 11 so I had plenty of sleep. I didn't do it for the money tho, I did it cause I thought the club was so cool I might like working at it part time to give bouncin a try to see what it's like. I really enjoyed working at the club.

why do you do it? more money?
my first job I work for my uncle doing VOIP tech shyt. I'm kinda learning and his company is just building up so the wages are pretty low for someone my age. So I needed more money. I don't wanna quit the job til I have 2-3 years experience that I can leverage when I go work somewhere else. I'm also gonna have him pay for my certs later on so it'll be worth it, I just gotta sacrifice for now. 4 years from now I should be hitting 200k+ and bonuses if things go according to plan. So the 2nd job is so I can save actually buy things for myself, but eventually I'm gonna quit it. I'm stacking enough so that I can start my own side business/hustle so I'll be ok... I'd rather have a life than a 2nd job breh.

edit:

of course this shyt is my fault. I spent a lot of my time chasing fast money and running the streets instead of staying my ass in school. I did make a lot of money, the type of money that some would have to work 4-5 years for I saw it in a year... but that was just 1 year off and on. A nikka about to be 29 on some starting from the bottom shyt, but my experience and connects will help speed shyt up

Just while I was in university - during the summers I worked at 2 stores...they were beside each other at the mall so some days, I'd work morning shift at one then walk over to the other one for afternoon shift.

DO OR DIE
I did senior year during the summer before college. I worked Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm at a non profit, 7-1 at mcdonalds and get home by 2am. Saturday or Sunday at mcdonalds 11-6 but wouldn't clock out so I could get extra pay. The manager was stealing so didn't care about us stealing either.

Nah bruh. One job is enough. If your job ain't paying enough, go get some it certs and make something out of yourself. Working at two mcdonalds is some broke boy shyt

It's funny you say that, cause I have 2 jobs right now. One on site, and one remote (I work both jobs at the same time) and I'm making 200k/yr :ohlawd:

All thanks to my certs :blessed:

But to answer the @Uncle Grime. question, my hours is pretty much the same. Sometimes I'll have to put in an extra hour or 2 in at the 2nd gig depending on how many meetings I had in the first gig.

I'm doing it to stack money to invest. I'm saving about $7000/mo right now, and once I save up about 40-50k, I'm buying some income property. Either a 4 or 6 unit little apartment complex. My goal is by this time next year between my 2 jobs, income properties, and other business ventures, I wanna hit at least 50k/mo after taxes.

God damn I'm that nikka :wow:

yeah and it was tough but as time progress you get used to it, but lucky me I was able to throw both of them in the bushes for one job that paid better than both of them

The only time I had 2 jobs was when I was going to college. I worked at a car wash until about 5pm and then I worked at the Papa John's down the street until 9pm. I did that for about 6 months. But it's cool. If I could I would work 2 jobs now. My main job to pay bills/save and the 2nd job for spending money.

No.

But I got my first job at 14 years old (McDonalds for 1 summer).
At 17 I was working 35 hours a week and still an honor student. I was a stockboy at a supermarket working 4-11pm during the week -- 1-9pm on Sundays (time and a half pay).

School would end at 3.

I have done this a few times. Last time was 10 yrs ago. I had a newborn so I substitute taught in the day and worked comcast customer service at night 2nd shift.

I never had off days cuz the comcast days off were M and TH and teaching was off on SA and SU.
