An actor who works steady can have a pretty decent lifestyle. They won't be living like Tom Cruise but they also won't be struggling like a dude who works at UPS either.

Take this dude: John Pyper-Ferguson

You'd never know his name but you probably recognize him from a million TV shows and movies. This guy seems to never be out of work so him not being a lead in a movie or TV show or even a regular character isn't a bad thing because he is constantly getting hired for guest roles, supporting roles or recurring roles.
I don't recognize him, but i'm waiting for you to finish making your point.
You were literally like recurring actors can make a good living, take this guy for example............................ crickets.:deadmanny:
How is he living? Does he have a big mansion somewhere?

Years ago James Gunn (and this was before he was super popular, when he was just a writer on the first "Scoobie Doo" movie) said you can easily maintain a career and live comfortably off acting or writing or whatever but the trap most people fall into is trying to maintain a Hollywood life style. Meaning, being a celebrity and having the appearance of wealth and fame 24/7. If you work on B or C tier projects and just stack your money you will be fine. Which is what this thread is going to be about.

my brother lived in Culver City for a couple years, i went down to visit and he had to work so i was bored. i took his longboard and skated around the neighborhood. i passed this little house. it was nice, nothing special, and since it's LA it was probably worth $800k easy. Anyway there was an old dude sitting on the porch, i said hello and kept going. half a block later i realized it was this dude.M. Emmet Walsh

so, that dude's been working forever, and he basically lived in a "cute" little house down a quiet Culver City block. I'm sure he's doing just fine, but he wasn't living in the glitz and glamour. isolated case, guy could have millions in the bank for all i know, but that's my first hand knowledge.

i never know how much any "famous" people are worth. sometimes you see some schmuck who is like 9th lead in a tv show living like a sultan.
