Why do florida sports teams in general have attendence problems?
If I had to guess it's because it isn't like these national sports were inherently part of the culture. Like yeah, Dolphins are the one exception as far as a true, storied history, but whenever a sport is popular in FL it's because of hype and success.
Most people down here are pathetic sports fans, just straight up fakkits. You also get a lot of transplants from NYC and wherever else, so as far as "true" born and raised fans of some of these teams, it's not like a huge thing.
THe amount of bandwagon fans down here is sickening. I remember back in 07-08 you'd have more Lakers jerseys than Heat jerseys at games (15 win season though
)
Also a lot of these owners are just milking these teams to
off the marketing and promise of the future while keeping shyt in a perpetual state of rebuilding. The Heat are the only true contending nationalized team in South Florida, and when you have big name players like Bron Bron and D-Wade you're gonna get shyt tons of people showing up.
When our teams win, people show up, when they don't, you get shyt like what you're seeing up above. People are just fakkits b
