Yeah...I was mostly talking about the South Side though. But the strip district had their share. Tequila Willies (RIP...that was one big barge that was just floated off...the owners got booked for trafficking/selling coke and heron), Donzi's (RIP), Chauncey's (RIP)
The South Side at that time (up until now) became the new Strip District. The Strip was more poppin in the early 00s/late 90s.
Margarita Mama's (RIP) was one of the worst...like Matrix (RIP)...I swear...the DJs played the same shyt over and over again...almost as if they all had the same playlist.
But college night with 50 cent drinks?
Too bad you had to drink 10 of those to even get drunk...lol.

I never went to it before it was Whim. The owner is a smart guy. He went the NY route with how he did the music (a little bit of everything), setup etc and it's the #1 spot in the city now.

I heard "Lose Yourself" multiple times in Club Chrome in Philly on Friday nights when it was more of a mixed crowd back in '03.
from my experience any spots playin anything other than lean back remix or that shyt w; drake..maybe a couple of others are usually shytty ass lowkey white trash spots with smoke machines and corny lasers goin around
I don't know what kind of cornball spots you guys go to, but Eminem stays in rotation at all the hottest Klan rallies.

I heard "cleaning out my closet" at a club when it first came out. Nobody danced to it tho, shyt cleared the floor quick. But the dj (who i am close friends with and wont name) loves to throw people off and see how they react.
