I almost spent $5K or something like that on Pace Morby’s “Gator Lending” course.
Breh I’m talking about I was literally in the funnel, card info typed out, all I had to do was hit submit and confirm purchase.
Backed out at the last moment just to do a little bit more research and give myself that last bit of reassurance in the guy- and boy am I glad I did that extra research smh. Found some scummy rat stuff about him and how he really is off screen, stuff that I’d kinda suspected in the back of my mind anyway, and I backed out of that pay screen so fast I almost reset my entire PC.
Another bad purchase I almost made was back in like 2015 I almost bout a 2007 dodge charger sxt
and literally the worst year of the modern charger generations in regards to reliability.
Can’t remember how much it was going for but I remember that it was going to break me at the time- but I was determined to get it anyway. The only thing that stopped me is the person who was taking me there to finalize the paperwork and drive the car back home backed out on me at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. Called the dealer and told him I wouldn’t be able to make it up there that day as originally planned and could he hold the car until I could get a ride there my next day off, he was mad as fvck and like “nah we don’t hold cars I got somebody who wanted it yesterday but I held it for you because I thought you was coming
“, and he literally ended up selling it that evening. I was so disappointed the next few days man. Out of my disappointment and longing I found myself looking up reviews for it and all kinds of stuff and mannnn what I found shocked the fvck outta me lmao. That year Charger was absolute TRASH, especially the 6 cylinder version like I was getting
. I couldn’t find a single solid positive review on the reliability of that year model. Not to mention the one I was going to get in particular had 168,000mi on it
young and fvcking dumb
ever since learning the truth about those chargers I was so glad I ‘dodged’ that bullet, no pun intended.
