That new audio program they're using sounds good :ehh: Ingram sounds less hillbillyish

What's going on on the recruiting trail? Gavin decommitted??? I thought the rumblings that Dawsey was struggling on the trail were greatly exaggerated, but now our commits are bailing like crazy. Nate-Craig just did an interview and said he's hardly had contact with FSU.....what's going on?:lupe:

These nikkas looking at the depth chart for 1, other schools can sell immediate playing time. I'm not gonna get caught up in who's doing or not doing their job, because we won't know until Jimbo makes that change.

EXACTLY!!! I was more shocked all the QBs who committed didn't decommitt but the Jimbo QB Whisperer myth kept'em. Why they ain't getting on Miller who ain't bringing in NO LBs whatsoever. Kelly either

So with no WR commits for '16 in the fold, what's our next move? Put that scholarship towards another position group? Is there a WR on the radar?

Take it from an ND fan who's watched Golson since 2011 when he got to school.

FSU is getting a BEAST at QB. Don't let the turnovers from last season fool you - Everett is a top 10 college QB. A lot of his turnovers happened when somebody else fukked up.

Balls hitting WRs in the chest and getting picked off, OL getting beat badly, creating strip/sacks. Once things got bad, Kelly should have ran the ball more and calmed him down but instead he turned up on Everett.

They had a bad relationship which is why he left ND, even though at the end of the spring he was basically still the #1 QB.

I will say this tho, Great QB but personality is :demonic:

He pulled some shady stuff while he was at ND other than the cheating, so basically when he said he was leaving, Kelly was like :yeshrug:

"FSU isn’t going to take a receiver just to take one." So it will probably go towards another position, I think this class will be smaller than normal.
Florida State received more bad news on the recruiting front Wednesday night when four-star wide receiver Keith Gavin decommitted. FSU’s second major decommitment in the last four weeks. Five-star tight end Isaac Nauta decommitted on July 28th.

FSU doesn’t have any wide receivers committed and will now head back to the drawing board as we head into the 2015 season.

After making a couple calls to inside sources, this is what we know about who FSU might recruit moving forward:

— First of all, the primary message I received after doing some digging is that FSU isn’t going to take a receiver just to take one. I was told directly that if there wasn’t a guy that FSU absolutely “loved” then they would be fine with not taking one in this class. That being said, FSU is certainly going to recruit a few.

Names to watch:

5-Star Nate Craig-Myers (6-2, 210) - Florida State has been recruiting Craig-Myers since his freshman year. They’ve gotten him on campus more than anyone else this offseason and he’ll take an official visit to FSU this fall. There’s a good chance FSU will also get him in for an unofficial visit for a game this season. UF and Auburn are FSU’s biggest competition, ultimately though, most that are close to Craig-Myers feel it will come down to UF or FSU. The season will play a big part in his decision.

4-Star Tre Nixon (6-1, 170) - Nixon is a guy we are told Jimbo Fisher is especially high on. FSU offered back in the spring. FSU will continue to evaluate him into his senior season. Nixon did not visit FSU this summer and he does not have plans to this fall. We’ll see if that changes if FSU decides to turn up the heat on him. Right now we’re hearing Georgia and Penn State are the two top schools in his recruitment. Auburn is also lurking. A source close to Nixon tells Noles247 that FSU reached out to Nixon yesterday.

4-Star Stephen Sullivan (6-5, 230) - Sullivan decommitted from LSU on August 16th. I’ve learned FSU assistant Randy Sanders has had some initial contact with him. After speaking to a few sources I’ve been told there’s a good chance Sullivan ends up at TCU. He lives with an uncle in Louisiana right now, but his parents live outside Fort Worth. There’s also another tie. Sullivan has been talking with Cam Cameron’s GA at LSU for a couple years and he is now at TCU this season. FSU will likely pursue him still, first step is to get him on campus. His recruitment to FSU has only just begun and a visit has not been set up.

4-Star Freddie Swain (6-0, 172) - The ‘Noles have not offered Freddie Swain to this point. They like him a good bit and will continue to evaluate him. The main players for Swain are Tennessee, UF, Miami and USC are the ones that have locked in official visits with Swain. It’s unclear if FSU will jump in the race.

=====================

Florida State will still pursue Keith Gavin and hope to get him back in the fold. As always, stick with Noles247 for the latest developments at the wide receiver position.

I'll be worried if Malik or Levonta decommit other than that, I think we're good lets see what happens once the season gets rolling.

With that said, I do think they need one more elite recruiter someone that can really get after it.

Also I'm not even worried about losing WRs... I'm more concerned about losing out on guys like Savion Smith and Shavar Manuel. Its a joke that neither kid is seriously considering FSU.

Getting excited about the defense this year, but I'm telling yall if they underachieve again this year I'm coming for Charles Kelly's neck. My patience for him and Miller is very thin.
