Is earth gang constantly doing that for OutKast or was it just once? Every album damn near Kendrick is sucking off Pac. Couldn't even keep this album strictly 100% West Coast without sucking off Pac
oh I see.
you slow-slow.
word :obama:

Man did one verse with Tupac's cadence - a west coast legend that damn near every nikkas in California grew up rapping like in you were from the 80s - as an indirect form of response to another man literally using Pac's AI voice against him.
Kendrick didn't bring Pac into none of this. Drake did.

But trying to shuffle the attention off to some nitpicks over 'dikkriding' like Drake's literal whole existence hasn't been fan-fiction rapping his way through everyone else's styles from NY to CA to UK to motherfukking Jamaica.

Stop this bad-faith argument because you desperate to try and shift the narrative. Kendrick can homage Pac all the fukk he wants. He homaged Wayne. He homaged Nas. He homaged Jay. And then... he stopped doing that and was still a fully-functioning lyricist as himself.

Let me know when Aubrey stops homaging whatever nikka did his most recent reference track and we can double back on this more honestly.

he jacks songs/concepts from legendary rappers almost
every album :yeshrug:

boy stop :mjlol:

West coast nikkas get to homage they fallen legends. Or is it only OK when Earthgang tributes Outkast or literally every female rapper from NY exists as a Foxy/Nicki tribute.

fukk outta here. Proof you ain't even understand Reincarnated if Pac is what you took from that song :camby:

Is this where yall act like i just heard this one song and decided to jump out the window:mjlol:?

I dont have a problem with tribute records or using a flow to pay homage. This song was not done in a vaccuum. Kendrick is doing a little too much. He might have good intentions ,trying to keep Pacs legacy going. Im just asking if its gotten to the point where its corny or have we already gotten past that point. Im perfectly okay with people saying no. I assume I might be in a small minority,i thought this song might have sent a few more over to my side of this argument:mjlol:

saying and doing all this over a nikka who has ghostwriters and has literally been saying other people's words his whole career with no personal character to his music is crazy :mjlol:
Kendrick could literally make his own version of Reasonable Doubt and I'd think it was dumb but... they'd all be him, writing as X thing/person/place. They'd be those concepts through the lens of him as a person.
Not a group roundtable brainstorm on how to adopt the hot sound of the moment, then a focus group on song names before an intensive session of aggregating bars in the group text :camby:
y'all nikkas just need to be contrarian.

Wake me up when Kendrick starts doing an English bruv accent for a foray into drill and I'll be right out there in the street with you complaining.

You clearly don't understand the difference between jacking and homage :mjlol:

The latter is a longstanding tradition all the way back to the golden era

Like snoop redoing ladidadi on doggystyle or lord infamous doing 6 in the morning on chapter 2

Based off what you just said im pretty sure you wouldnt complain at all smh.

And not sure why you bought up Drake, hes weird too. I already bought up when he went through his Aaliyah phase to name a few:mjlol:

Kendrick aint the first nikka to write his own raps. If yall dont stop giving him some special credit for that shyt:gucci:.

Point is weve seen alot of rappers throughout hiphops history recieve backlash for paying a little too much damn homage.

What is too much homage?

Dude rapped over the same sample as made nikkas and shouted him out on his biggest hit of this year

I could understand your reasoning if he was on some master p shyt and straight up copy and pasted the same cadence and concepts across multiple albums or acted like he actually was tupac on some The Realest type shyt :mjlol:

But you literally mad for nothing. Kendrick isn't getting any flack cause nobody cares. It's just paying homage

nikkas will say all this about Kendrick and Pac
word. :obama:Keep the same energy.
Ariana can't do no more runs. All of them are Mariah.
KRIT? Stay yo ass at home. You doin too much UGK.
JID clearly stands for Jermaine Iminem Duckworth.
if you a nikka in R&B at all, you may as well quit. K-Ci in there somewhere.
Usher Raymond? You mean Usher Jackson. And not even just Michael, either. Whole bunch of Janet in there.
Speaking of Janet... someone tell Russell that Ciara is on the clock.

Early Drake was Beige Phonte
Prime Drake was Beige Big Sean
Peak Drake was Beige Quentin Miller
Current Drake is Beige Vory

see how stupid that gets once you stop being able to tell the difference between homage and mimicry?

At least somebody keeping PAC’s name ringin in a positive light. Ain’t no more music coming out, his influence he intended to leave on the game can only be felt if nikkas do it the right way for the right reasons.

I didn’t like reincarnated on first listen, still probably one of my least favorite tracks from GNX but I respect that he not only brought the OG cut back to the front of a lot people’s minds but that he also went a different direction with the subject matter.

I’ll take that over fake flex, fake love, exploitation and the outright slander we seem to get from damn near everybody else.
