Folks don't know their music history, which is understandable since they habe successfully whitewashed rock, country, and edm.

I've made numerous Black music threads and tell people how we made every modern genre every chance I get

You think Black ppl were listening to Jimi Hendrix like that when he was alive?

Of course if you really wanted to be pedantic I guess you could argue that J-pop is just an offspring of (black) American music, but he is singing in Japanese, so I think he qualifies.

So which Black celebrity infiltrated a Non-Black culture, and was hugely successful doing it? All I could think about is the Black dude from Hootie and the Blowfish
Lil Wayne did this with his skateboardonv phase. Even converted a bunch of cacs into rap fans :wow:
