There's way too many paedos/weirdos/perverts out there, so I can understand folks being paranoid. shyt, kids are getting molested by their own family members, let alone a stranger.

Sometimes little kids can put a stranger on the spot though. A couple of years ago, I was at this aquarium place looking to buy new fish fopr my tank and this white family had their daughter who couldn't have been older than three was running around the place. You could tell the kid was just starting to walk and when she came near me, she suddenly outstretched her arms and grabbed onto both my legs to prevent herself from falling. Now, I'm this big dark skinned black dude in a hoody and you got this little blonde, blue eyed wonder gripping on my legs to break her fall, I was like . The mother saw me and was like "oh I'm so sorry" and I was like no problem and kept it moving.

Another time I was sitting next to this lady on the bus who was holding her son and lil dude just leaned over into my lap and shyt lol. Other than that kids seem to always wave at me and and say hi for some reason and I just generally smile back....and that's it. The people that trip me out the most are the ones that get all offended when you don't coo over their little kid even though you're a complete stranger. It's almost as if they want me to validate their kid's "cuteness" or something.

Parents should train their children to NOT acknowledge people they don't know. I remember when my mother told me that some kid on our street got abducted just before I was born in the late 70s, so that's why she was so insistent on me not acknowledging strangers at all. I always knew there was something wrong with some grown ass person smiling at me and making faces. I was one of those kids that used to frown and turn my head the other way.

Things like that really make me shudder.

My sister always buys my daughter new clothes when she goes over there so just this past weekend we went swmming and I wanted to send my sister a pic of my lil girl swimmming in the new dora the explorer swimsuit she had bout her..

I was trying to filter the pic and put it through instagram but then I was like

I know how dudes stalk and thirst females on instagram and how people's pic end up in that popular section for everyone to see. Started thinking bout them sick dudes you see on them shows..

I was like I'll just send the pic as is..

Man, I didn't realize it until I had my daughter. She's very friendly and polite. Says no ma'am/sir or yes ma'am/sir. She is in the habit of hugging people and I have told her if you're going to hug, hug from the side. And never, ever sit in a man's lap. I don't care who it is. I just hate that I didn't realize how sick some people can be until I had a daughter of my own.
