I was in boyscouts. So plenty of times .

If I have kids, I would do it with them. But I don't think we would rough it as much as I did in boyscouts. I would make it hella comfortable. I remember when we had to cook our own breakfast with our own fire and cast iron utensils. Imagine the kind janky stuff a bunch of 11-14 year olds with no cooking skills whatsoever cooked for breakfast. I remember I had a breakfast of nothing but little smokie sausages. Those little meats tasted good. No homo

As a yute, went to a wilderness camp in Vt for the 2 months. Learned so much (i.e. canoeing, crafts, building cabins, rock climbing, gardening, homesteading, etc.). Such a counter to living in a city. Great experience overall.

Went to rock eagle in eatonton Georgia in seveñth grade

They had fully functioning cabins they were probably something like those early Friday the 13th movies. If you check the map there is a big forest area around eatonton

We did canoeing , a forest hike, bonfire, you name it

Havent did it since I was in the military and was forced to
sleeping in the pine woods of North Carolina in Feburary aint no hoe..I go hiking every weekend, I want to eventually go camp at the Little Grand Canyon in GA
