Who said anything about erasing an ethnic group? I just asked for who in today's world looks most like the Ancient Nubians and you responded with a group that has 39-47% genetic admixture.
Because phenotype is a product of genetic expression AND environment. Since the present-day Nubians still live in the same area(s), their phenotype hasn't changed, therefore, they are the ethnic group that most resembles Ancient Nubians. This also explains why Black Americans with even less admixture are phenotypically different than their ancestors...
