LA it's always black vs. mexicans. At my old high schools there were always beef with the mexicans. But it's all gang shyt. shyt was so bad for the mexicans; other hispanics use to go up to the black and say "Hold up mane, I'm not mexican I'm from el salvador

My cousin that went to Manual Arts had some friends that went to Carson. He told me about how the Polys hate Mexicans, It started back in the day when the Mexican gangs used to jump Polys so, the next generation just carried that hate for Mexicans. Almost all fights start with Mexicans jumping a Poly or black who is by himself...then brawls happen afterwards. I think last year, blacks and Polys clicked up and were beating up some Mexican gang members at the school..the school got shutdown. Just to point out, not all Mexicans roll like that, its primarily the gangmembers, taggers and wannabees.

Both my middle school and high school had black vs hispanic days. I lived in a black neighborhood though so I was gucci. I used to sit back and watch the show. We even had black vs Haitians days too

Bolded for truth. All the non-Mexican made it very clear that they were not Mexican. A lot of them kicked it with each other and/or with black people. Mexicans are so deep compared to other Latinos in the southwest US that the other Latinos are overwhelmed by them which causes seperation. Plus, there are some cultural variations amongst them.

I remember a riot broke out back in '94 between LB Jordan High and the Burger King across the street. Kids all over Atlantic and Artesia fighting. I was just a kid, but I remember seein that shyt from the channel 7 chopper

I went to high school at Logan, and I still live here.
In the 90's, we had some racial fights, but not much outside of that.
I'm no expert in the city's demographics, but there has never been a substantial black community.
Mexicans dominate the area around Logan (Decoto).
Other than a kid getting stabbed by gang members at a middle school, I never heard much else about racial incidents outside of school fights.
Did you hear/witness anything?

I went to high school in union city. You are right there isnt a lot of black people in union city thats why the Mexicans feel so powerful.. While i was in high school the Decoto gangsters (Nortes) were known for jumping black people and chasing them. I used to see black vs mexican fights on campus almost weekly. My sophomore year my homie was stabbed walking to BART from Logan. That same year I knew someone who was hit in the head with a bat by some mexicans at that park next to Logan. My junior year a 15 year old black kid was shot and killed for dating a Mexican girl. I aint racist against Mexicans but shyt definitely is not sweet out there homie.
