like the matrix? First movie certified classic. Game changer with its cinematography and effects. And then reloaded with albino twins, awkward sex scenes with “natives” dancing in hedonism(peep the symbolism of these movies by the way), and just the overall bad neo as God with nothing at stake/faux Star Wars PM galatical senate shyt with Zion politics subplots. Not to mention but why did CGI from the early 2000s age so horribly compared to early 90s with movies like Jurassic Park or T2?

Naw Matrix 2 is dope in it's own right. What brings it down is part 3, which couldn't fulfill the promise of the original concept. If they close the show with a dope ass part 3, then part 2 would be viewed as a classic.

I don’t think jaws 2 is that bad of a flick actually. It’s not the first movie but it holds up and holds its own. Now caddyshack 2 on the other hand is an abomination

Some sequels were mailing it in for cash grab purposes, like Caddyshack 2 and the like.

Here's one I got back and forth on: Predator 2.

Predator 2 at the time had me like "dwillhuh: with the tonal change from the first. I was only 10 at the time when it dropped, so I didn't quite get that it was impossible to remake the first one without getting into predictable horror tropes. The mystery of the Predator was gone, and we know what they fukk they look like. Also, Danny Glover took a minute to grow on me, not yet buying a hardened cop being anything close to an elite special ops soldier.

The action was so pornographic, tho It literally was the same feeling I had going from GTA to Crackdown. Without a mystery or tension, it was just 1 and a half hours of my dude opening Columbians and Jamaicans, with a cope or two sprinkled in. Glorious graphic violence.

Pred 2 was delicious, empty calories, but so many people consider it fail status compared to the first.
