The biggest the window was open for his return was during CM Punk's main event run. That was when Austin was entertaining the idea of returning openly the most. Esp after that WWE 2k interview they did got a lot of buzz. But once that time came and went, Austin basically shut the window down for good. He wasn't even moved when he did his WWE Network interview with Heyman and he jokingly teased a match with Brock and ESPN took it and ran with it lol.Austin seemed to have bad luck with injuries.
I'm sure he felt like he even a few routine bumps gone wrong and he could possibly ruin his neck
I peed myselfMagnum TA
Ted DiBiase retired in 93. Been around with the company this entire time but hasn't had a match ever since. although he did have to retire because of a neck injury

Technically, he won and lost the 24/7 championship last year I think on the raw reunion. That's a kayfabe sanctioned match.
Maybe Bruno? Did he just retire due to age instead of injury?Head and neck injuries ain't no joke, I do wonder who stayed at the longest on their own terms.
nikka that don’t countWon the 24/7 title on raw reunion last year
The OG Blitzkrieg retired in 1999 aged 24 and hasn’t wrestled since
