I Am Number Four made $145 million on a $50 million budget.
In Time (which he was barely in) made $173 million on a $40 million budget.
Neither were "bricks".
The Film Industry isn't like the Music Industry where $$$ determines whether a project is successful or not. "I Am Number Four" didn't live up to studio expectations & was considered a brick... plus there's a lot of money & hype that goes on behind these projects that you nikkas don't know about...
That's why there will be no sequel...
"The Last Airbender" doubled its money back & is considered a failure... same way we'll never see a third "Fantastic Four" movie despite both films profiting...
I guess you gotta work in the industry to understand it...
"Bricks... All White Bricks..."
