And him being added to Fast Furious 5 was WHY that thing took back off after it fell into obscurity...

And everything top to bottom that he's done has ALWAYS gotten critical praise...almost every single time. They thought he was TOO GOOD of a dramatic actor for this type of role from the reviews I saw on youtube from all these sites....that's his level. He's a juggernaut.

Well the last two Furious movies were like str8 to DVD bullshytters and they retooled Fast Five around Rock and Vin Diesel..that fight and set up got all the promotion...just like he was front and center for all the promotion of Furious 7 even though he was doing double duty and only had a few scenes.

furious 7 is about to pass avengers for the worldwide 3rd highest grossing movie of ALL-TIME

and rock was in it for what..10 minutes? of a 2 hour and 17 min movie.

idk how much he was in the promo though but i remember the death of Paul Walker being the main catalyst as well as jason statham.. didn't hear as much buzz for rock before the movie came out

He's been in big movies, but besides this earthquake movie, which looks corny, he's always been part of a big cast of stars.

I don't think he needs classic movies so to speak, but he doesn't have that iconic role that many of the greats have. I think his thing is being the sum of several parts rather than being the engine that drives the vehicle.
