It might not seem like initially, but he started doing movies like "The Rundown" and "Walking Tall" back in 2003.

That's 12 years ago, and since then he's CONSTANTLY been in movies every year, with no down time, not taking breaks, etc.
and his IMDB is booked up to 2019 already. :wow:

I'm NOT saying everything he's done is great quality, but his "15 mins" of fame is still going strong and doesn't appear to be ending. Even Stallone from the late 70's - late 80's, his star began to fade and he wasn't in demand as much.

But just in terms of quantity of projects and people not fatiguing of him, he's gotta on one of the greatest runs ever.

stallone starred in classics.

rock has 0 classics under his belt.

not tryna shyt on the guy but its hard to call it a GOAT run with not one truly memorable film
:comeon:
I clearly stated this isn't about "great films or classics", but name me 5 actors in history who've been in SEVERAL big budget movies EVERY year for over a decade, the way he has.

I remember at one point a couple years ago he was in like 3 movies that were out at one time.

I dunno bruh a lot of his movies that came in the mid 2000s went double plastic.

it's not like he was in a steady stream of hits. there was at least a few year period where no one gave a shyt about him.

fast and furious franchise and his return to WWE a few years back rejuvenated his career.

It's really phenomenal how long The Rock has been going at that level. The run isn't simply just any other typical one, it's one where someone's been one of the most famous people in the world for a significant stretch of time. A lot of cats have fallen off in that regard, but not The Rock. That's incredible.

To serious film critics The Rock has not really delivered yet, however he does have movies like The Scorpion King under his belt that were very enjoyable. Also it's not his fault he hasn't worked with someone on the level of James Cameron either. I think with the right director who has the right idea for a movie and the right role, The Rock will have his classic and it'll be major. What's one major reason Arnold Schwarzenegger thrived in the Terminator role? Because his delivery matches completely with what a Cyberdine Systems model T-800 would probably act like. Even great actors need a role to somewhat match their personality to really make the audience feel it. We can sense genuine.

But the most impressive part is his sustainability to keep that level of fame to the point where he's starring in blockbusters.

As a side note, from a kid's perspective I think The Rock is probably superhero level.

They hear us adults talking about him and yelling the sayings, watching him star in blockbusters, see him in all the shows and commercials, and then seeing him on wwe. If Arnold Schwarzenegger made somewhat frequent appearances on wwe when I was a youngin :wow::ooh::banderas:. That's also going to work out for him big time for the next decade plus.

He is the most profitable star of the last few years next to Downey though...Stallone was never that. Ever.

He went a very long time dropping nothing but #1 or #2 movies...where is Julia Roberts at? Brad Pitt? Jim Carrey? I haven't seen them in years yet Rock is still bull dozing while creating 3 different shows on TNT and Showtime...lol. He's who they look up to at this point.

Maybe.

Unless you watch movies from before 1980.

So Cal
naw his run didn't really start till fast and furious, before that he was starring in flops, small parts or kids movies. nobody cared about his movies before that still not even sure he's been in a good movie yet. only classic role i could think of that he's had was in the other guys and that was a cameo. i hope his new hbo show will be good... i know it won't though.
