I think what he is trying to say that people be claiming they woke and shyt but not putting in any work for the cause. There are a lot of people claiming that they are work but are completely content with doing nothing more than copying and pasting some hashtag or quote. They ain't out there supporting their community whether it be voiting, protests, or just supporting black businesses. But then be the same people who try and look down on those that ain't as "woke" as them or quick to disparage someone that says something they don't agree with.

What's the point of having all this "knowledge" if you do nothing with it. Being "woke" is a social media trend as far as I'm concerned. Post that life but not everybody is bout that life. It's easy to share an article from your computer all day but if you're not out actually doing something than what's the point. People get bombarded with social media articles and memes all day long. Very few of it sticks. Sharing articles is a small action and not an action that is going to lead to a lot of change. Feet on the ground is the only way that wars are won.

I'm Christian too :yeshrug:. I'm technically still a Catholic. I just dont let my religion run my life or influence my decisions because I've realized that if God exists he doesn't give a shyt about us nikkas on earth.
At least you're upfront about the shyt.

People in general are much more broadly knowledgeable these days because of the Internet. It's harder to hide the truth.

As for black people, being more "woke" doesn't mean anything if you're still broke AF. You can't make a society-changing difference without wealth.

"Change" is a looooong way away. Generations away. Change starts with a shift in mentality. We are definantly in a mass shift of consciousness among blacks and the internet is playing a HUGE role.

Gotta remember that a tactic of systemic oppression is hiding and manipulating past history and the truth. With the internet its hard to do that. We are slowly waking up to the atrocities blacks have went through (Black WallStreet, etc) and who our REAL enemy is
