Outside of Dirk no one player's legacy got more boost for winning a title than Hakeem's. You say LeBron has a horrible Finals record but Hakeem's teams traditionally underachieved outside of them winning the titles when Jordan left. LeBron surpassed Hakeem a couple of years back; Olajuwon is all time but let The Coli tell it he's the GOAT center and better than Shaq and shyt. Shaq vs. LeBron is a much more worthwhile discussion (it's hard comparing players at different positions with different roles anyway).

Under achieved? How?

Drik and hakeem deserve praise for their title winning cause they did it the way lebron could not

Hakeem is the best Center I've ever seen.In fact, other than Michael Jordan, '94/'95 Hakeem is the most unstoppable/dominant player I've ever laid eyes on.

But that's just me, tho:manny:
There's no way you can say mid 90s Hakeem was more dominant than early 2000s Shaq when he wasn't really much more dominant than young Shaq.

It's weird with Lebron.

When you look at all he's bought to the game. Entertainment and Pure Fukkery especially since Kobe declined.

HS star living up to those enormous expectations.
Him getting that hummer as a ten. lol The must see tv.
Rookie season dude was a top 10 player.
Making it to the Final with a bunch of bum.
The decision.
The Love and Hate for him.
That summer players wouldn't sign until they knew where bron was going next. 5 finals in a row.
Become LeGM

The NBA has been in the basketball headlines Lebron since like 2000. The game would be kind of boring and with a lot less debate without Bron.

Whether you love or hate him, he's on that Kobe, MJ level as far as making the sport very entertaining.

Hey we all have our own opinions, but Hakeem made a young Shaq look young.

Shaq was born dominant.Big ass dude with crazy fluidity in his game, but when it comes to dominating through pure skill, nobody's seeing Hakeem IMO.

But again, that's just my opinion.

Yours can be different...I respect that.

FOH with this bullshyt.

Hakeem literally took a bunch of bums BY HIS fukkING SELF to the 1995 Championship in what was arguably one of the toughest eras in modern basketball. You had a prime Gary Payton, PRIME David Robinson, Prime Karl Malone and Stockton, Prime Barkley and KJ, and PRIME fukking Ewing. Lebron has NEVER done anything near this difficult. FOH.

Negged for making me typed more than i intended.

Eh. Drexler and arguably Kenny Smith and Cassel were better than anyone Bron played with until he got to Miami and numbers wise, Hakeem's numbers those 2 years (about 27/11/3.5 with 52% shooting) aren't clearly better than Bron's career avgs of 27/7/7 with 50% shooting). The era Hakeem was in definitely appears better on the surface because we know all those names but nobody you mentioned ever won a title other than Robinson.

First of all, you meant the 1994 title dummy. Second of all, they weren't a "bunch of bums".... they just weren't superstars, but that team fit perfectly around Hakeem and his skillset, a bunch of shooters who hit EVERYTHING in the clutch (Horry, Kenny, Cassell). Not to mention, by your silly ass logic, all the Rockets did was beat Patrick Ewing and A BUNCH OF BUMS as well in the Finals anyway.

Not to mention, how was it the toughest era when the BEST PLAYER IN THAT ERA WASN'T EVEN PLAYING AT THE TIME?!?!? Sucka.
