My point was, not only is it unhealthy to give, not just your wife, anybody that much benefit of the doubt, its downright stupid. In the old days the older men mentor the young ones. You act as if because she's his wife she's incapable of lying.

The definition of behavior is actions or words used to fulfill a want or a need. If a nikka is acting crazy towards your girl its your responsibility as a man to be objective about it and figure it out. But that involves putting your ego to the side and realizing your not this awesomely good guy you thought you were and maybe, just maybe you're getting the short end of the stick...

Here's what you're missing in all of this when it comes to me. I tried having a sit down with the dude. He responded by threatening me a week or so later. I tried to be cordial. But he responded with disrespect and mockery. I even talked to his dad a few times after I couldn't get through to him trying to make peace. And still nothing....

And after all of this you're telling me that it's MY responsibility to keep trying? That don't make any sense bruh. We can live just fine without him. Why am going to continue to expose my otherwise happy family to that hostility after he's proven he doesn't care one way or the other?

Where's his responsibly in this whole thing? You're blaming me and my wife, but you don't put the worst offender on the chopping block? Sounds suspicious.

Edit: He filed papers initially for full custody after he'd disappeared for almost 6 months. And 2 other times he filed papers related to visitation. He was upset that she moved when in actuality his drive was shorter (from 3 hours to 1.5 hours) because she agreed to meet him halfway, when before he had to drive the full distance to pick her up and drop her off. He was just mad she moved without telling him first.
