Had trouble finding a x64 version of windows 8 first of all, now I'm having trouble getting it activated. I'm actually putting it on someone's touchscreen cpu, so thats why I went with windows 8 over windows 7.
Has anyone found a working windows 8 activator?

they refuse to buy it? you can get windows 8 for $15. that's so cheap that its worth paying for the piece of mind that you can install crucial updates and never have to worry about your hack being disabled.

it's not for me. I run windows 7 on my computers. not trying to buy it tho. when I went to activate it, M$ was talking about $70.

I don't know if name matters but i did use my name. you basically just tell them you purchased a PC during the valid dates and they give you a discount code so when you buy the Windows 8 upgrade online at checkout it knocks the price down to $15.
at the time i bought it i just told them i bought a Dell from Best Buy. Microsoft didn't verify anything just sent me the code.
That's what's up. How long did it take to receive the upgrade code after you pay for it?
the upgrade code is instant. they give you a serial and you download it from their site. you can either do a direct download and install or burn it to a disc then install.

I'm kinda with this train of thought. I have never paid for any software, I dont wanna start now. even if the price is nominal.
Since my first pc that ran windows 95 I've never paid, I still have my CDs of windows 98, windows xp, windows nt, windows vista and windows 7
