Has anyone ever worked at or been to a business with all black people running it?

Not a mom and pop or boutique situation. I mean a 50 or more employee who are all or mostly Black, management on down business?

I was at a place yesterday that was run by Samoans. From the suits in the office to the boots on the ground. That's when it hit me that I've never experienced that with us. I've been to and worked at plenty of places down south where the majority of the employees were Black but the management and owners weren't.


I know there are probably plenty out here I just haven't seen it personally and would love to hear about them.

I used to work for a fiber splicing company that was black owned. Jamaicans owned it and they paid well BUT it was known that they purposely hired mostly white mentally to work for them.

It's the current job I do now.

They run a side business for a bus company. I'm technically part of management but in name only. Although in the months since I have been off sick there's been a lot of Indians coming through.

What state are you in? This isnt uncommon in the south

I live in Seattle now but I'm from the south. I've never personally seen Black people be the majority of management too. I worked for a place where the main dude on site and his direct subordinates where Black and ran things but there were several white people over the and they'd come in every so often, walk around and make there presence known.

I also know several smaller businesses that are all Black but not the mid to large sizes I'm talking about. Can you give some examples of what you've seen and or are a part of?

In the Caribbean? Yes..but surprisingly - even in Black majority countries - the business class is often NOT BLACK.

There's definitely some deeper stuff, some internal, some external and it's going on domestically and abroad.
