Has anyone else noticed it's a divide happening in the black community between conspiracy theorist and those who aren't?

Nothing new. I remember on the 90s one of my brothers getting arrested and having to spend a few weeks in county. When he came out this goofy nikka started talking about the Illuminati and all these retarded jailhouse conspiracy theories.
speaking of goofy conspiracy theories why was your ass claiming i post on the resetera in some thread? :childplease:

That’s everyone, not just black people. Lot of people’s brains are completely broken and they lack critical thinking skills. And they get mad when this gets exposed. If you tell a normal every day person about humiliation rituals or Sandy Hook conspiracies they will look at you like you’re insane. Because you are lol.

It’s social media plain and simple. Once Facebook learned how to tap into the reward centers of people’s brains with dings and likes that created the addiction. Add the algorithm which keeps recommending things you like and the seeds for destruction were planted. Smart phones spread the reach worldwide and now we have billions of people getting their minds hacked. All it took was for somebody to weaponize it, which I fear is happening more with tik tok, but enough with Facebook, twitter and instagram. It scares me honestly and I have taken a huge step away from most platforms, save for the coli.

Educated and uneducated. That’s it.

The more educated you are, the less likely you’ll fall victim to these conspiracy theories and you’ll know how to discern fake information and proper sources

Now remember I said education. I know a few smart people who fall victim to conspiracy theories as well but just don’t have those skills needed to navigate the modern world and its pitfalls.

In addition, people have ALWAYS tended to lean towards whatever source validates their beliefs or proves a point that they like. Some of this just plain human bias, it’s in our nature. Social media and the internet just allows the fringes of thought and society to gather in a large way and spread idea that wasn’t there in the past
I'm better educated than approximately 99.8% of the population (source) and I'd be considered a conspiracy theorist. In turn, I'd argue that I simply have more experience with the ruling class and am more fully aware of the full extent of their perfidy.

That said, conspiracy theories abound when the people lose trust in institutions, ie, the gov't, the media, academia, the economy, etc. The social effects of Katrina, 9/11, the Great Recession, and Covid should clear all that up for you.

Good points I don’t fully disagree at all. There’s definitely a factor to be taken into account of consistent government or power that be mismanagement or straight up neglect of the populace that fosters these theories

I can see it everywhere from the Coli, social media, and even my brother be on that shyt now. It's got to the point now where everything including sports is rigged. Everything is about the illuminati and secret society bullshyt, like everything.

Anyone else notice this? I think it's fukking our community up and it's annoying as fukk. The Katt Williams shyt is a prime example of it. I believe a majority or close to if of black Americans prolly think Kevin Hart was sucking dikks and fukking goats to get to where he is. Literally any weird ass conspiracy will have black folks like "I believe it!: :krs: Then these will be the same folks calling Democrats sheep and rocking with Trump. shyt is beyond annoying man.

The effects of social media. I can’t believe some of the shyt I see people saying
