In the tweet, she said it happened in the summer of 2016, but she could be throwing us off the trail on purpose. The story of how she ended up 'separated' from MSNBC was very mysterious.

In January, she claimed, the tags for the “Melissa Harris-Perry” show went poof. “In our archival system, it had disappeared. You couldn’t search our segments under MHP,” she said...

Harris-Perry said her executive producer had informed her that there were no resources for her program to cover the 2016 presidential election. Nor was she dealt in on the proceedings. “In Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina — despite a full build-out for MSNBC and despite the fact that there were two handfuls of hosts on the ground, I was never once invited on air,” she said.

In a blog entry posted Tuesday, Harris-Perry described how a strange man approached her in a Des Moines hotel Monday night, mumbling about Nazis and threatening to “do” something to her.

“I freeze. He speaks. And moves closer,” she recounted. “Is there a knife under the coat? A gun? Worse?”

Harris-Perry was shaken but uninjured during the strange, scary encounter, she wrote.

MSNBC would like me to appear for four inconsequential hours to read news that they deem relevant without returning to our team any of the editorial control and authority that makes MHP Show distinctive.

The purpose of this decision seems to be to provide cover for MSNBC, not to provide voice for MHP Show. I will not be used as a tool for their purposes. I am not a token, mammy, or little brown bobble head. I am not owned by Lack, Griffin, or MSNBC. I love our show. I want it back. I have wept more tears than I can count and I find this deeply painful, but I don’t want back on air at any cost. I am only willing to return when that return happens under certain terms.

I don't believe this woman,she's lying man.She got raped in this metoo era and said nothing GTFOH, She was on that feminism crap on her show but protected a rapist at the same GTFOH. You are saying women are more inferior to men because they don't report rape:martin:?Do you see how wrong that is when you consider the fact that men definitely won't report being raped to anybody. This is more of a matter of privacy,reporting it means you will be violated all over again. I thought she was a woman of conscience and knowledge of self though,she should understand she has a responsbility,and has the strength to tell someone or have it taken care of so that it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Women are definitely defecient in certain ways that makes them inferior to men. Mostly in the ways that get the most attention,and standout the most. Men are also inferior to women in certain ways as well like sensitivity and empathy:martin:

this is a completely false equivalence. The long lasting psychological trauma of rape is undeniable as opposed to a 3 card Monty hustle. That being said if you as a man were raped would you immediately report it as a duty to your fellow man? Statistically speaking the incidence of Males being raped is similar, the reporting frequency is much lower than females.
