Has any team drafted as well as the ATL Hawks in recent years?

Honestly I’m not a believer in Trae....I wonder how he do when they actually tries to win ball games...

Honestly it’s the lakeshow and it even close....Lonzo, Hart, Kuz, B.I., Zubac...

You put Orlando on there yet Orlando actually made the playoffs last season and was one of the best teams towards the end of the season. I think they went 22-8 in their last 30 games.
All of Orlando best players were players that are vets outside of Gordon. Can you really say Orlando?

Vucevic
Evan F.
Augustin

Most of their young guys are unproven at this stage even by young players standards.

I would say Denver has drafted extremely well.

Teams like NO and Sacramento made some good trades of their stars for young players which help their case as well.

Drafting was never their problem, tho. As an outsider looking in I must say They've done pretty well in the draft:ehh:

Outsider meaning I'm not a Hawks fan but I live in Atlanta so I've watched and am familiar with the squad since moving here in 05.

Again, drafting was not an issue in the past. They hit big on some like Al Horford, Jeff Teague,Josh Smith, Shroeder and a few other late 2nd round picks.

Their major fukk-ups were Marvin freakin Williams and to a somewhat lesser extent, Josh Childress.

Edit: for the record Josh Smith and Shroeder were NOT bad picks. They were talented players who had great potential and lived up to some of it only to turn out to be headcases. So the Hawks scouts are definitely doing a great job studying talent

They were shyt in terms of drafting in my opinion back in the day.

Dennis and Josh weren't bad picks but they are the type of picks you hate because they are too limited to help a winner but too good not to get paid.

We drafted Shelden, Acie, Childress with lottery picks and completely fukked up and took Marvin over CP3 and Deron.

You can say with the current day, we drafted the best player at the slot for each position.

Trae 5th, no one pass that is better

Kevin 19th, no one better pass that

John 19th, same

Cam 10th, too early but looks like he could be our best player one day

Hunter 4th, looks like Al Horford Jr in terms of efficiency and an all around game that benefits everyone around him

Our late 1st or early 2nds are too early too tell

Bruno is a legit talent but he is not NBA ready yet

Spellman flopped for us but he is still writing his chapter with Golden.

I think we have drafted extremely well. To me, of the last 10 years. It's us and Denver

Ahh yes I forgot that piece if shyt called Shelden Williams even tho I clowned y'all for it many times :mjlol:

Talent wise Josh could have helped a winner with his skillset and the right coaching and strong veteran leadership. I wanted him on the Heat when we had Shaq and Wade and Mourning. But in certain environments, Josh's gonna Josh:russ:

I'm super jealous of you clowns for the John Collins kid. Many of my fellow Heat fans wanted him but Riley went with Bam Adebayo. I didn't know anything about either so I just waited to see. Adebayo is good but just hasn't had the opportunities John had a lot more opportunities because your front Court was not as loaded as Miami's but it still doesn't take away from the fact John is a beast. Something about him reminds me of Karl Malone. Nothing fancy or flashy...just straight up solid all around player with no big definite flaw to his game.

I must say Trae looked good for y'all last year. Haven't seen the rookies yet. Huerte is definitely a steal.

In 3 years the question will be can you keep them all?:umad: John and Trae alone could be Max players and the others will have sub-max yet big paydays too. We'll see...

By the way is it true that Shelden Williams sued super cutie Candice Parker for alimony? The nerve of this f@ggot...:gucci: Who raised that clown?

:stopitslime: You clowns, what have we ever done to Heat fans? I thought we had a decent fan relationship. You gonna have to edit that

I hated the Shelden pick during the rumor phase before the draft.

Josh has severe limitations, he was never going to be more than a 6th man for anyone.

John is baby Malone. Different styles and some similarities. Both are elite movement bigs who run the court extremely well with excellent stamina. Malone was more of a post player, while John likes to shoot that bytch. Both were somewhat limited defenders, especially John although he showed some flashes v. NO yesterday.

Bam fits the modern NBA, I can see why they took him when they did.

Atlanta gonna have to pay at least four of them but we like four years away from that decision.

A lumpsum she gave him. She made the most money. She was cheating on him with a white dike. :lolbron:

He back in Atlanta helping the coaching staff. He will probably be on the staff soon. He does have a good Basketball brain

Lakers drafted in a 4 year span...

D-Lo
Ingram
Kuzma
Randle
Lonzo
Thomas Bryant
Josh Haer

D-Lo is an all star, and the combination of zo, hart and Ingram was the driving force of the AD trade. Randle got paid 20m a year in NY and has put up AS numbers.

Close but not quite. I don't think you've seen the players Atlanta had drafted up close. The Lakers youth are great but Atlanta's had the edge IMO. Lonzo gets overly criticized because of his father's shenanigans but honestly he's still not as good as we hoped either. He still has a lot of potential but i dont believe he'll be as good as Trae but only time will tell. I like the Ingram kid and Kuzma is good too.

I would not trade Atlanta's top 3 recent draft picks for the Lakers top 3 or even top 4 recent draft picks.
