some may not agree but I think it reflects reality
this will sound nihilistic but we live a world where evil can do something like this and get away with it, especially if it has enough power and influence
you got serial killers who killed countless who have not been and will never be caught
the funny games family just met the wrong people
same way you can't control what unjust and awful things can happen to you
cause and effect :yeshrug:
knowing this the ending still pissed me off

Shinji ikari in end of evangelion. After weeks of getting fukked up in the alien that act as a body for his mother's soul he's finally mentally crushed to the point where when shyt gets real and the end of the earth is upon him, he has to kill the one person who genuinely loved him, let's everybody else die when he's too defeated to pilot his mother, and when he finally stops the world from ending through third impact, in the end it's even more fukked up than expected, there's a chance he's possibly alone with the one person he clearly hates almost as much as his father cause the last thing he does in that series is choke that bytch, all the while they have absolutely no idea if anyone can comeback while everything is in ruins, and it's not even for certain if there won't be even more aliens coming. So all that fighting and trauma he experienced was essentially for not because after finally refusing to run away and do the right thing, there's quite literally nothing else left in the world for him, and he's only 14.

This doesn’t appear on the sountrack CD, but it’s the GOAT. Might even be better than Duel of the Fates, when it kicks in around 1:13
