Most of the Kobe haters are still up in moms basement but dude was pretty dominant for a SG in his prime.

And everyone wants to say Kobe rode Shaqs coattail yet I don't remember Shaq winning a ring before him?

Then he went to Miami to play with the 3rd best SG of all time and finally decided to get in decent shape and "Take a back seat" on shot attempts and won another one


Yet Kobe brought a bullshyt Lakers squad into the playoffs (out West no doubt) and eventually got a pretty good team around him to go to the finals THREE more times and losing one.

Overall... 7 finals appearances 5-2 record (fukkin Celtics)

Kobe is the best basketball player of alltime and it's not really close to be honest.

I have Kobe just one spot ahead of Jordan (who's also a top 5 dominant force).

End of the day I think defenses could do less to stop Kobe than they could against Jordan.

edit: It's too close to call between these two. Jordan when he entered the league was making fools of defenses before he retired.

Dominance I think just has as much to do with the competition you're facing as it does with individual skill.

I have prime Kobe better than Jordan easily though during Jordan's 2nd 3 peat.
