Oakland CA
-No Powerful Home Run Numbers
-Puljos hype died immediately
-Matt Kemp was injured
-No Serious Pennant Chases (so far)
-Yankees vs Red Sox rivalry is dead
-No Superstars Casual Fans Can Identify.
-HGH still prevalent
-Half the season getting overshadowed by the NBA Playoffs and Olympics.

Just a below mediocre ass season , even for MLB standards.

Sounds like you haven't been following the season, and just watching ESPN highlights.

3 perfect games and a No hitter.
Mike Trout posing to win the ROTY and AL MVP
Andruw McCutchen and The Pirates
The Reds
The Nationals being the best team in The NL
Miggy hitting 30/100 for 6 years in a row
The Oakland A's being relevant again with Josh Reddikk and Cespedes putting them on their back
Buster Posey's 2nd half tear
Bryce Harper playing like a vet at 19
Miami Marlins' implosion :heh:
RA dikkey
Chipper Jones retiring(having a good year too)
Hamilton and The Rangers destroying everyone in the first half
The Yankees dropping bombs like it's Vietnam/their bench mob
Matt Kemp's incredible first month of April
West Coast teams making power moves
The Rockies limiting their pitchers to a 75 pitch count :heh:
David Wright finding his groove again
The Baltimore Orioles still in the playoff hunt. :wow:
David Price and The Rays are still in the playoff hunt despite being one of the worst offensive teams in the league
Brewers' bullpen completely collapsing(could of been a playoff team if not for that)
Ryan Braun still putting up MVP numbers
The Redsox and Blue Jays being decimated by injuries.
The Southsiders are leading the division. Alex Rios and AJ having bounce back years and the emergence of Chris Sale
Time Lincecum looking a complete and utter scrub. :to:
David Ortiz's great first half
The Melkman testing positive and attempting to cover it up
Todd Frazier looking like the NL ROTY
Derek Jeter leading the AL in hits :jawalrus:
Hanley Ramirez playing like an All Star for LA
The Phillies :dead:

The Mets with their annual 2nd half collapse :damn:

If I left some things out, let me know.

If anything this has been the BEST baseball season in a long time. So many great young stars. Tons of great stories this year with the revitalization of historical franchises like the Pirates, Athletics, and Orioles

What the MLB needs to do is find a way to start marketing these young stars like Trout, McCuthen, etc.

i will agree that the Red Sox and Yankess rivarly is dead. everyone i know doesnt care about it anymore and this series this weekend has barely been talked about

even when the teams are good over the last few years its slowly been dying. im wondering if Sox/Yankees fans even fight anymore at games or in bars over this shyt.

That isn't The Yankees' fault. How about Josh Beckett and John Lester? :troll:

It's had a lot of good storylines thus far but the NBA Playoffs were  status and then The Olympics came through and crushed the buildings :ohlawd:

Now they have football to deal with. :ahh:

On the bright side there ain't shyt during the week so the playoffs should have a lil' juice.

No, he's right about this one. The appeal of the rivalry had a lot to do with the perceived good vs. evil and how Boston hadn't won in 80 years.

Once the Red Sox came back from 3-0 in 2004 and then won again in 2007.. that's when the pink hats movement started. They priced out a lot of the diehards as well.

Then the Yanks built the new stadium which has half the atmosphere of the old cathedral and they also priced out a lot of hardcore fans.

if they met in the playoffs again it'd be a big deal but the atmosphere will never be the same.

So the best rivalry in american sports for 100 years is now dead because of the past year or two:wtf:

It will always be relevant because of the hatred of the fanbases and the fact both teams are by far the most popular in their city
