And to think I'm almost 20 :wow:

The books were pretty great, only read the first 4 though and I remember my dad getting me Prisoner of Azkaban from the bootleg cd guy outside the family dollar :banderas:

Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings used to help me get out my reality when I was poor as fukk in the hood :mjcry:

Never read the books or saw the movies, but I respect the tweet. The feeling of creating something that you don't know if people will even mess with, only for it to become bigger than your wildest dreams has to be indescribable. :mjcry: If that becomes me one day..........:wow:

I pretty much grew up on these books.

When Harry Potter was 10-11 years old starting out at Hogwarts, I was 10-11 years old starting out in middle school. When he was trying to get with Cho Chang, I was trying to get with bytches. When he was trying out for the quidditch team, I was trying out for the basketball team. When he was graduating Hogwarts, I was graduating high school.

So yeah those books will always have a special place in my heart.

read the first chapter of the first book and the shyt was not for me at all. watched one movie in theaters years ago and it was so lame that i don't remember anything about it but how lame the final fight scene was. will never understand the love people have for these fukking books.

You had to catch them at the right time. I was basically the same age as the characters in the books when they were doing all the shyt they were doing. So it was nice release from reality while also still having a lot of elements I could relate to.

Harry Potter was my life as a kid. I didn't like him at first but when they announced the movie I became a mega fan. I read every book, had all the games, toys and candy.
I wanted glasses so bad at age 8 just bc Harry Potter had them smh

I also started out as a hater at first before becoming a big stan. My sister was the first one to read the books so I just started out hating before I ever read it. I was calling it lame and all sorts of names. Then I started reading the books and similarly fell in love.

Started off as ideas on a napkin... :wow:

I only read the first three, so I've only intentionally watched the first 3 movies while catching bits and pieces of the rest, but I definitely dig her creation. Goes to show you that you never know and can't be afraid to put yourself out there.
