I remember when I watched that movie in a hotel with my son and damn near cried like a baby near the end of the movie. The fact the dude put Kirk Franklin's song as a message of how far we have come as black folks during that time....whew....man, when cinema is done right...its incredible

I agree. Spike is a master director and should be referred to as one of the GOATs. Anytime you watch a Spike film the cinematography is striking. One of the most fearless directors. Get on the Bus is a personal favorite of mine....I have to re-watch it again.

The Million Man March almost led to a major transformation for black folks by way of the billion dollars that the US blocked Farrakhan from receiving via Quaddafi. That money was supposed to capitalize black and hispanic banks in order to make loans to our communities. I remember that event vividly because there was a lot of real anger at the US over it.
