tyson

tyson punches at 900psi.

which is the equivalent of someone hurling an old icebox refrigerator across the room and hitting you square smack dab in the middle of your forehead.

only other person i could say hit mythologically as hard as tyson, was norton.

yet i don't think norton hit as hard as tyson either.

Shavers had probably the greatest singular punches. Foreman had extremely hard punches and never stopped coming at you. Tyson and Tua hit very hard and explosive as well. Tyson and Tua would have been a great fight to watch.

When Foreman fought Gerry c00ney, he was at 64 wins with 60 coming by knockout. But fighters who fought both Shavers and Foreman said Shavers hit harder. George had more technique and a better chin. Overall, the listing goes as follows in my eyes:
1) Shavers
2) Foreman
3) Tyson/Tua

Tyson had that quick twitch explosives that was unmatch.

Foreman head some heavy ass hands. Would knock dudes out with his jab.

Ken Norton broke Ali's Jaw.

BUT Shavers has Ron Lyle, Ali, Norton, Holmes all on record saying he's the hardest puncher they ever faced. The dude had 68 KO's.

Its either Tyson or Shavers in my eyes.

It's probably Shavers or Foreman but Max Bauer deserves an honorable mention.. his punches we're powerful enough to kill 2 people :sadcam:

tyson's punching power was not overrated.
in most general boxing expert circles, tyson is legit regarded as the hardest punching heavyweight of all time, of any gen.
like i said earlier tyson punched at 900psi,....
he was called iron mike for a reason.
that is not some mythical folklore claim, either.

if you even check what he hit the black rhino with later on in his career.

as a shell of himself on the inside.
from the shortest distance possible.
you can still see his latent natural power.
being significantly above mostly anyone in the history of the sport.

imo tyson or foreman. two very different punching styles...but i would never try to catch either one of those fades.

Sugar Ray Robinson killed a nikka (white guy actually) in the ring too :to:

sugar ray robinson was the best fighter in the history of qeens bury exhibition and competition.

so his ko's and punching power came from applied science and execution.
plus, he hit harder than most in the history of his divisions as well.
