Hard work is only a piece of the puzzle. It also takes a connection with the right individual who knows the value of your work and can spread the word so that your work can be truly realized by its intended audience.

to the threadstarter. if i remember correctly, you're a programmer. u goto redefine your definition of hard work and stop putting ur all into making someone else (your boss) like u in hopes of getting a promotion. focus on starting a business. do something u love. then hardwork will be just as easy as playing ur most favorite sport.
