Man, I wanted Vit Vea and Daron Payne badly during that draft. Tremaine Edwards and Derwin James too.
I was pissed that they all got so close to our pick.

But knowing how we traditionally draft at DT, I know they would have passed them up and still went with LVE.
Leighton justified his draft position early and I was happy with him but these injuries have sapped him.

He's right, you know....:francis:

BUT HE DOESN'T GET INT'ZZZZZZZ

WHO CARES THAT THEY NEVER THROW TO HIS SIDE OF THE FIELD!

I'll never forgive them for letting B Jones walk
I'm not one of them "I told you so" ass negroes but

God damn it man. B Jones makes us super bowl contenders. Yes that's a hot take. fukk it.:yeshrug:

Hated him as a safety. Good player as a CB. Looking back I probably didn't appreciate him enough. When you get a good corner, 9 times out of 10 you need to lock him up. They don't grow on trees. Anybody could do what Jaylon does.
It wasn't even that they didn't want to sign him breh, it was that they let their #1 corner, #1 defensive player, and possibly #1 overall player on the team (cuz the consensus at the time was that Dak was mid) walk, for nothing, and didn't even attempt to replace him.

Imagine the Rams losing Aaron Donald and being like "eh he wanted too much":unimpressed:

Realistically we would have had to pay Byron record setting money to stay and I don't really think he wanted to cause he was gone AS SOON as free agency started...[/I][/B]but yeah we should have at least offered him something because when he was here he had the number one skill set any defender could have and that's teams being scared to throw at him. Defense been trash since he been gone and its going to be trash until we get another corner like him and some DT's.

The bolded is true BUT...iirc they didn't even negotiate or anything. They didn't tag him, they didn't try to trade him at the deadline, nothing. Just literally let a #1 corner walk because they might MAYBE have to pay Dak.

And then didn't even pay Dak that offseason:mindblown:

Lemongrass, cherries, alkaline water
Idk what it is about Byron Jones that leaves some Cowboy fans in the twilight zone. Duke was a soft workout warrior masquerading as a shut down corner. Teams wouldnt throw at him because they had easier targets in Chido and Frito-Lay, not because they were afraid of him.

Byron Jones in 5 seasons here: 2 interceptions
Trevon Diggs in 13 games: 4 interceptions

:snooze:
We dont really miss that bum, we just did a poor job of getting the second guy to team up with Diggs. Im not sure where the faith in AB came from.

Ill say this

Dak did impress me last night. Made some great throws (some bad ones too), stood tall in the pocket and took hits, made some good reads, and put the offense on his back.

With that said, I still want him to stop leaving so many points on the board. Like Prime said, against this opponent and offense, you need TDs, not FGs.

We are the first team ever to lose a game by winning the turnover by margin by 3 or more, putting up 450 yards, and the opposing team having over 100 penalty yards.
This good for u bruh. He is our franchise QB and even tho some of us doubted him (myself included), he deserves his bag.

Good points in ur post too. I hope Dak can hold up the entire season because the team gonna need him to keep playing like last night, especially if Zeke doesn't get back to 2016-18 form. Lets not even discuss the D even tho they played better last night than last year overall and got takeaways. Need a better CB than Brown and a DT for sure.

I’m not trying to be a hater, but I’m not so optimistic like some of you guys. It was a close game, but Cowboys always play up and (especially) down to the level of opposition.

Sure, Garrett is gone, but the poisonous seeds that were planted over the past decade are still here.

We all know that this team will narrowly lose to the GBs and TBs and NEs of the world. And then turn around and look embarrassingly bad against the fukking Eagles and Jets.

And we all sit here like :unimpressed:

I’m not sold on anything positive after this week 1. Our RedZone offense still sucks, our interior OL is still suspect, defense can’t get stops in crucial spots, and our coaching does us no favors.

We’ve seen this before brehs, let’s wait and see what these dudes do over the next few weeks. I mean, would anybody here be surprised if Herbert shredded us for 400+ next week?
